Teva will launch Diltiazem Extended Release Capsules (once-a-day) in all dosage strengths. Diltiazem ER is the generic equivalent of Aventis’ (formerly Hoechst) Cardizem CD, which is indicated for the treatment of hypertension and angina. Sales of Cardizem CD in the. United States for the 12 months ended June 30 exceeded $650 million, Teva said.
